The Thunder Injury Report Just Wiped Out Half Their Roster

The injury report for Monday night looks less like a basketball roster and more like a triage log. If you are holding tickets for their matchup against the Cleveland , you might want to stretch out and see if they need a backup point guard.

, Jalen Williams, Alex Caruso, and Cason Wallace have all been officially ruled out. Add in Nikola Topic and Thomas Sorber, and Oklahoma City is missing half of its rotation before the first week of November is even in the books.

The timing is brutal for a squad sitting at 4-2. Holmgren is out with a knee issue, taking his team-leading 9.3 rebounds per game off the floor. Caruso is sidelined with an ankle injury, and Wallace is nursing a bad shoulder.

You know a team is in a bad spot when the inactive list has more star power than the guys lacing up. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander is already carrying the load with 26 points a night, but he is going to need to play 48 minutes and clone himself during timeouts just to keep this offense breathing.

Oddsmakers are going to have a headache trying to price this game. Cleveland is also 4-2 and mostly healthy, meaning anyone looking at the spread is basically guessing how much punishment a depleted bench can take before the towel gets thrown.

Oklahoma City tips off in Cleveland tonight, but the real problem is the schedule. They have to play these same again on Wednesday. If Holmgren and Williams are not cleared by then, the frontcourt is going to spend the entire week getting bullied in the paint.
