Spurs Unleash Terrifying Three-Guard Lineup Around Victor Wembanyama
Underdog NBA tweeted: 'Lineup alert: Spurs list starters as Fox, Harper, Castle, Vassell, Wembanyama on Monday.'
The are rolling out a starting five that looks like a custom MyTeam roster where someone forgot to turn the salary cap back on.
According to Underdog NBA, San Antonio is officially starting De', Dylan Harper, Stephon Castle, Devin Vassell, and on Monday.
Throwing a highly motivated Fox into a three-guard lineup that already features a generational alien and elite perimeter defenders is the kind of roster construction that makes opposing coaches want to fake a stomach bug.
San Antonio is sitting at 4-2 after rattling off three straight wins, including a 121-111 weekend dismantling of the Minnesota Timberwolves. Fox is pushing the pace with a solid 18.5 career player efficiency rating, while Wembanyama is just existing as a human cheat code, currently leading the league with 4.2 blocks per game.
If you are looking at the prop markets for this group, good luck figuring out who gets the usage on any given night. Fox is going to want to put on a show, but Wembanyama is always a threat to accidentally drop a 30-point triple-double while barely breaking a sweat.
The Spurs host the Utah Jazz next, giving this chaotic five-man unit another chance to build chemistry. The rest of the is officially on notice.
