Payton Pritchard is officially questionable for Wednesday with a shoulder issue, which means the Boston Celtics might actually have to sweat out their guard rotation for a night.

When a guy who plays 28 minutes a game off the bench hits the injury report, the betting lines start doing backflips. Pritchard is the engine of the second unit, and his absence completely scrambles the prop market for Boston's role players.

Through seven games this season, Pritchard is logging heavy minutes and dropping 13.4 points while dishing out 3.4 assists. That is not just garbage-time production. That is a massive chunk of reliable offense suddenly hanging in the balance.

He has been an absolute ironman lately, playing 82 games in the 2023-24 season and 79 last year while averaging nearly 17 points. Seeing him pop up with a shoulder problem is like seeing a check engine light on a Toyota Camry. You just assume it is a glitch until the car actually stops moving.

The Celtics rely on him to come in, hit deep threes, and annoy opposing guards for 94 feet. If he sits, somebody else has to pick up that slack, and there are only so many minutes you can squeeze out of the starters before they start looking like they need a nap.

Keep an eye on the final injury report before tipoff. If Pritchard gets ruled out, expect the remaining Boston guards to see a heavy spike in usage, and adjust your fantasy lineups accordingly before the market catches up.
