Underdog NBA reported: 'LeBron James (injury management) listed out Saturday.'

LeBron James is officially sitting out Saturday's game for "injury management," which is the modern NBA's polite way of saying a 41-year-old man simply needs a night off to ice his entire body.

Underdog NBA relayed the official designation, meaning anyone holding a LeBron points prop for the weekend needs to pivot immediately. The Philadelphia 76ers are traveling to play the Charlotte Hornets, a matchup that frankly should not require the services of a four-decade-old basketball billionaire to secure a win.

To his credit, LeBron has looked surprisingly spry in a Sixers uniform this season. Through five games, he is putting up 16.4 points, 7.0 rebounds, and 7.0 assists per night. That is a highly respectable stat line for a guy whose career injury log reads like a CVS receipt of foot, ankle, and groin ailments dating back to the Obama administration.

Philadelphia can easily afford to give him a breather right now. The Sixers are rolling at 5-1, tied for the top spot in the Eastern Conference. With Tyrese Maxey torching nets for 28.2 points a game and Joel Embiid pulling down 9.4 rebounds, the team has the luxury of putting their oldest star in bubble wrap against lesser opponents.

The Sixers tip off against Charlotte at 6:00 PM ET without their veteran forward. Expect LeBron to be back in the starting lineup, fully rested and ready to go, when Philadelphia hosts the Chicago Bulls on Monday night.
