NFL Network's Mike Garafolo reported: '#Hets ruled out RB Breece Hall with a thigh injury.'

The New York Jets just watched their most expensive offensive weapon head to the locker room, and the timing could not be worse. Running back has officially been ruled out with a thigh injury, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

The Jets are currently trailing the Detroit 24-16. Trying to erase an eight-point deficit without your star running back is like trying to parallel park a school bus with no power steering. It is technically possible, but nobody wants to watch you try.

New York backed up the Brinks truck for Hall earlier this year, handing him a three-year deal worth nearly $48 million. When a franchise pays a running back in the modern NFL, they are essentially buying a luxury sports car and praying it never sees a pothole.

Hall already gave the front office a heart attack in August with a training camp groin strain that cost him a few weeks. He bounced back in time for the regular season, but this new thigh issue is a brutal blow for a guy who has largely been durable since his 2022 ACL tear.

He was just starting to find his rhythm in the passing game, catching five balls for 63 yards in last week's overtime loss to the Green Bay Packers, even if the ground game was a miserable 29-yard slog.

For the live betting sickos and fantasy managers who needed Hall to close out their Sunday, this is a catastrophic rug pull. The Jets now have to figure out how to move the chains in Detroit with whatever backup options they have left on the sideline.

All eyes turn to head coach Aaron Glenn's postgame presser. Jets fans will be refreshing their feeds hoping this is just a precautionary shutdown, because trying to survive the AFC without Hall is not a math equation this team wants to solve.
