Going on IR means Legette is mandated to miss at least the next four games. For a team desperately trying to find any sort of offensive rhythm, losing a key pass-catcher is a brutal blow to the depth chart.
The Panthers are coming off a tight 21-18 loss to the Cleveland Browns where points were already at a premium. Taking Legette out of this lineup is like removing the only working spark plug from a 1998 Honda Civic and expecting it to win a drag race.
Now has to pivot immediately. They are staring down an upcoming clash against the , a defense that does not exactly hand out free passing yards to depleted receiving rooms.
