Josh Hart Questionable Against Jazz as Knicks Face Massive Spread

Josh Hart is officially listed as questionable with an ankle injury for Wednesday night, which is NBA speak for a guy who just played a Los Angeles back-to-back and might want a night off against a glorified exhibition roster.

The New York Knicks are rolling into Salt Lake City as massive 13.5-point road favorites against the Utah Jazz. When a basketball spread looks like a college football line, you do not need your ironman wing pushing through an ankle tweak just to beat a team actively trying to lose games for a better 2026 draft pick.

Hart has been an absolute workhorse this season, logging 54 games while averaging 11.8 points, 7.6 rebounds, and 5.1 assists. He just finished playing both ends of a brutal back-to-back against the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Clippers, so giving his ankle a breather here is just basic asset management.

We already saw Hart miss an eight-game stretch earlier this year with an ankle issue, and the Knicks cannot afford to mess around with his health this close to the playoffs. If he sits, Tom Thibodeau will have to actually dig into his bench and hand expanded minutes to Landry Shamet and Mo Diawara.

Expect a final update on Hart closer to tip-off, but do not be shocked if he watches this one in sweatpants. With Jalen Brunson coming off a 28-point night and Utah playing zero defense, New York has more than enough firepower to cover the number and let Hart rest up for the games that actually matter.
