ESPN's Marc Raimondi reported the official inactive list on Twitter.

The just dropped their Week 8 inactive list, and it reads less like a football roster and more like a triage unit at a medieval battle.

According to ESPN reporter Marc Raimondi, is rolling into their matchup against the without a massive chunk of their depth chart. The inactive list includes quarterback Jack Strand, linebacker Divine Deablo, running back , defensive end Drake Jackson, and cornerbacks Billy Bowman Jr. and Robert Longerbeam. Oh, and veteran Andy Dalton is dressing strictly as the emergency third quarterback.

Seeing Dalton relegated to the emergency glass-break option is objectively hilarious. The 39-year-old has thrown for over 38,000 passing yards in his 16-season career, but right now, is treating him like a fire extinguisher you only pull off the wall if the building is actively collapsing.

The defensive absences are the real headache here. Deablo has been dealing with a fractured forearm, which sounds like the kind of injury that should keep you out of a carpool lane, let alone an NFL linebacker rotation. Missing him, plus Bowman and Longerbeam in the secondary, leaves the Falcons defense looking thinner than single-ply toilet paper.

For anyone looking at the betting markets, this is the kind of roster update that makes you immediately check the opposing quarterback's passing props. is coming off a 29-20 loss to the San Francisco 49ers, and trying to bounce back against with a depleted secondary is a recipe for giving up explosive plays.

The need to figure out how to patch these holes before kickoff. If the defense cannot hold up and the quarterback room gets down to Dalton in his emergency gear, this divisional clash is going to get ugly fast.
